This is how your grip is made – true handicraft from Swabia
From raw wood to finished handle – crafted with experience and precision
Every handle begins as a simple piece of wood – and is transformed into a high-quality companion through experience, precision, and skilled craftsmanship.
For over 15 years, we have been working with Drechslerei Weiss, who craft our handles with great care, experience, and genuine handwork.
Over the years, this has developed into a trusting and close collaboration – characterized by mutual respect, continuous development, and the shared commitment to constantly improve every detail.
Every piece of wood is unique. And that is exactly what is reflected in every single handle.

It all starts with selecting the right wood – each plank brings its own structure, color, and character.

From the selected wood, a suitable blank is prepared and precisely clamped onto the turning machine.

In the first steps, the basic shape of the handle is created – still rough, but the future outline is already discernible.

Now, the shape is further refined until the proportions, feel, and transitions are just right.

The characteristic knob is now clearly visible – step by step, the simple piece of wood becomes a distinctive handle.

Different woods give each handle its own expression – from classically subtle to uniquely distinctive.

After turning, the handles are ready as blanks, awaiting the next steps such as sanding, finishing, and varnishing.

Now the handle receives its protective varnish.
This protects the wood from external influences and at the same time
brings out the natural beauty and depth of the grain.

During finishing, the handles receive their final surface – robust, even, and fitting the character of the umbrella.

Colored versions are also created through several careful steps, until their appearance, feel, and protection are lastingly impressive.
