Ideally, let it dry open or half-open in a well-ventilated place. Important: position the umbrella so water can drip off and air can circulate – and the wooden handle has no contact with the floor or standing moisture.

Both are possible:

• Fully open: maximum air circulation, especially after heavy rain.
• Half-open: a good alternative if you have limited space.

What matters most is air, time and a dry environment.

A well-ventilated place is ideal. If you use an umbrella stand, it should preferably be one where moisture does not remain standing for long periods. Avoid very damp rooms (for example cellar/garage) and avoid leaving it on hard floors for extended periods.

In most cases, overnight is enough. The fabric will smooth itself out, and the umbrella will be ready to use again the next day.

If an umbrella remains damp for a long time, it can put stress on materials – especially natural materials like wood. Our tip: always let the umbrella dry thoroughly after use.

Only for a short time (for example on the way home), so that nothing drips. For longer periods, the rule is: do not store it in the cover – moisture remains trapped inside.

The handle is made of real wood. Wood reacts to its environment and to moisture. Please therefore avoid:

• permanent storage in damp rooms or in a damp car
• drying it in a way that leaves the handle resting on the floor (moisture/scratches)

Better: keep the handle pointing upward (standing/hanging), so it stays protected.
